Club Membership renewals
Written by Super Perez

Please be advised that Club Membership renewals are to be done before June 1 of every year. This is so that the certificates can be prepared before Master camp and distributed during the event. This way, participants to the master camp can bring home the certificates instead of waiting for it to arrive by post. This is on top of the fact that ISKF HQ does require it to be renewed by june of every year.

ISKF is a federation of clubs. To join this large family of karateka's you can join as an individual member, or a member of a club that belongs to the federation. To register your club, you need the following:

1. Have at least 15-20 members.

2. Fill out the club registration form.

3. Accept the standardized ISKF core curriculum. These are standard skills that are required of your students for their respective belts. You can teach more, of course, but ISKF members from all over the world are  expected to know what is basic for their rank according to the curriculum.

4. Pay US$ 55 for the first year's annual fee.

5. Register your students at the now discounted Php 300 per year. (Individual members are charged Php 600/year)

6. Submit your documents and payment.

Notes: ISKF HQ sends their bill annually before the master camp.

Kyu Exam certificates and ISKF IDs are issued after the payment. These are the means by which the worldwide organization earns money. The certificates and IDs are purchased from the HQ in the USA and shipped to Manila.

ISKF Philippines Chairman David Lay is heading out to join the Master Camp in Philadelphia this June.

He will be attending the master camp to advance in his instructor training course and report to meeting of regional heads on the status of ISKF Philippines.

This trip is in a large part possible because of the assistance of Unilever Philippines who partially sponsored the plane fare.

Deadline for submission of ISKF club and individual membership forms and payments is on the 15th of May.
